Kendis is a strong Easy Agile Programs alternative when planning has to reach beyond one Jira site. It is a standalone PI Planning tool that syncs two-way with Jira Cloud, Jira Data Center and Azure DevOps, adds a ROAM risk register, solution boards and predictability reports, and is free for six months.
Easy Agile Programs is a Jira Marketplace app. Its listing describes it as "SAFe PI Planning or Big Room planning" with objectives, dependencies and confidence voting "in Jira."[1] It builds its program board from native Jira issues, which means no sync layer and no second login. That is its main strength and also its boundary: the integrations Easy Agile documents are Jira, its own API and eazyBI.[2]

When is Easy Agile Programs the better choice?
Choose Easy Agile Programs when all of your planning happens in a single Jira site and you want the plan to live there too, with no external system, no sync to set up and Jira's own permissions.
- Nothing leaves Jira. On Data Center, app data is stored in your existing Jira database.[6]
- Low entry cost for small sites. The Cloud app is free for up to 10 Jira users.[1]
- Simple procurement. All Easy Agile apps are sold through the Atlassian Marketplace[4], on the bill you already have.
- One ART is enough. If you do not need to see across trains, the single-ART view is not a limit for you.

Easy Agile is priced on the Jira user tier, so a 1,000-user Jira Cloud site is in a tier listed at $16,800 per year on the Atlassian Marketplace[1], however many people plan. Kendis is licensed per Kendis user. Twenty-five planners on annual billing cost $4,200 per year. The reverse is also true: for a small Jira site, Easy Agile is the cheaper option.
It is not tied to Data Center
Atlassian's Data Center products reach end of life on 28 March 2029, when subscriptions and their Marketplace apps expire and become read-only.[13] Easy Agile confirms its Data Center apps can be renewed until that date.[14] Kendis is a separate application, so the same boards keep working whether your Jira is on Data Center, on Cloud or partway through a migration.
Risks, predictability and Inspect and Adapt are built in
Kendis includes a ROAM risk register, predictability reports, scope change tracking and an Inspect and Adapt module. We did not find a ROAM board or Inspect and Adapt in Easy Agile's documentation, and its objectives page lists the predictability score as coming in a future release.[8]
You choose where the data lives
With Kendis you pick EU or US hosting at signup. The European Cloud runs on OVHcloud in Frankfurt. Easy Agile's Cloud app can also store data in Frankfurt, but the region follows your Jira site, defaults to the US and cannot be changed after installation.[6]
